ABOUT

The Amandine is a culinary potato: this variety won a prize for its delicious flavour in France in 2009. Amanda is a firm waxy variety. The potato is long oval, with a uniform shape and flat-eyed. The skin is yellow, as is the flesh. It’s a potato variety with a refined, aromatic and sweet taste. Amandine potatoes are ideal for boiling and using in salads. It’s not a potato suitable for baking or frying.

PREPARATION

The potatoes must be firm and smooth when purchased, without wrinkles or protrusions. Wash the potatoes before preparing them for use. The potatoes can be prepared both with and without the skin, after which they can be boiled and used in a salad. The flavour is optimal from June to October.
