ABOUT

Ginger is a frequently used spice which is extracted from the root stock of the ginger plant. The beige root is most commonly used in the Asian kitchen and has a spicy flavour. Ginger is not eaten out of the hand, but is added to a dish. Ginger can be milled or grated into a herb or cut into slices once the skin has been removed.

PREPARATION

Ginger can be stored for a number of weeks in a dry, cool place.
