KIWI (RED)

ABOUT

The red kiwi has a green-brown skin with deep red flesh. The flavour is somewhere in between the green and yellow kiwi. The red kiwi can be scooped out, just like the green variant, and is also delicious in juices and fruit salads.

PREPARATION

The red kiwi will taste best when the fruit feels a little soft to the touch. A fruit which is still hard is not yet ripe. A red kiwi can be eaten out of the hand by cutting the fruit through the centre and scooping it out. The fruit can also be used in fruit salads and desserts. The fruit can be stored at room temperature for several days. Unripe fruits are best left to ripen at room temperature.
