LAOS

ABOUT

Laos is also known as Galanga or Thai ginger. It’s related to the ginger family, but its taste is completely different. Laos is stronger and spicier. The root’s structure is woodier and harder. Laos is frequently used in the Indonesian kitchen, for example in stocks, soups and fish and meat stews.

PREPARATION

Laos can be used by peeling or grating the root, or by cutting it into thin slices. Laos is suitable for preparation once the inside is light yellow or white. It can be stored in the fridge for several weeks.
