MADAME JEANETTE

ABOUT

Madame Jeanette is a short, thick and dented pepper with a very spicy flavour. The fruit looks a bit like a pepper. The pepper is often cooked in dishes and later removed, thereby releasing the aroma. Only very experienced users will dare to actually eat a Madame Jeanette. Spiciness: approximately 100.000 to 350.000 Scoville units.

PREPARATION

The Madame Jeanette must be shiny and firm when purchased. Wash the peppers before use and remove the stalk. If the pepper isn’t being cooked in its entirety, half the pepper in length with a knife and scrape out the seeds. Cut the pepper into slices for further use. The pepper can be stored at room temperature for a few days and a little longer if stored in the fridge.
