ABOUT

The salicornia is a crunchy sea vegetable with an incredibly salty taste. It’s a crunchy vegetable which is perfectly suited to fish dishes. Salicornia can be eaten raw or cooked.

PREPARATION

Remove the toughest bottom sections if necessary and quickly rinse the salicornia under a cold tap. Please note: never put the salicornia in a bowl of tap water. Salicornia is used to salty water and doesnt like ‘sweet’ tap water. Don’t use any salt when preparing the salicornia: it’s definitely salty enough already. Salicornia can be stored in the fridge for several days.
