ABOUT

Sereh is also known as lemon grass and its name is the result of the refreshing lemon aroma which permeates from the stem. Lemon grass is often cooked in dishes to add flavour. It can also be used for making tea.

PREPARATION

The stems must be a beautiful white to light yellow when purchased. Stems which are brown are old. Remove the leaves before preparation. The sereh can subsequently be prepared in its entirety or cut into smaller sections. Sereh can be stored in the fridge for at least a week.
