SUGAR CANE

ABOUT

The sugar cane is the ingredient for cane sugar. The hard stem has a diameter of approximately 5 centimetres. The stem’s thick skin is removed before consumption. Sugar cane is often used as a sweetener in desserts.

PREPARATION

Wash the cane sugar before use and remove the hard, tough skin with a sharp knife. The cane sugar can subsequently be eaten raw or processed in syrup or juice. Sugar cane can be stored at room temperature for several months.
