An innovative partner which literally goes that one step further
Innovation is very important in the exotic fruit and vegetables chain. Irrespective of whether it concerns innovations in logistics or in the assortment: in TFC you will have a business partner which has innovation in its DNA.
We very much enjoy taking the lead where implementing innovations are concerned. Especially where the assortment is concerned: exotic products have acquired a permanent place on the shelves and today’s consumer constantly wants to be surprised. Intensive scouting and a large network in the countries of origin are the ingredients for continuously adding new expansions to the package. This has resulted in TFC now supplying almost more than 200 different types of fruit and vegetables.
Innovations certainly also contribute to increased customer appreciation where logistics are concerned. This includes, for example, the introduction of an innovative way of transporting products. We also use a special production process for, for example, exotic fruit like mangos and avocados, which means the products end up on the shelves ripe and ready to eat. This effectively lowers the consumer’s purchase threshold with relatively unknown products. Plus it instantly results in increased turnover and margin at the supermarkets.
